Nissan and 4screen Announce Partnership to Advance the In-Car Experience Across Europe

Munich, Germany / Paris, France – April 15, 2026
Nissan, a global automotive manufacturer, and 4screen, the world’s first Driver Interaction Platform, today announced a partnership to bring real-time, location-based services into Nissan vehicles, supporting more intuitive journeys for drivers.

In 2026, first functionalities will be rolled out across key European markets, including Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, and Spain. The partnership marks the start of a broader collaboration, with Europe serving as the initial launch region and further markets planned over time.

Contextual Discovery in the Vehicle

The first release elevates the in-car digital experience and supports drivers to get situational Recommendations and search for partner locations nearby seamlessly and intuitively integrated to Nissan vehicles with Google built-in®.

User Control and Consent:

Central to this feature is a commitment to driver autonomy. The system operates on a strictly opt-in basis, meaning Recommendations are only active if the driver explicitly chooses to enable them. Users retain full control to opt out at any time.

Moments of Need:

Once activated, the feature operates discreetly in the background, detecting essential triggers – such as low fuel or battery levels, driver fatigue indicators, or arrival at specific partner locations – to suggest relevant stops only when necessary and relevant.

Seamless Handover:

To maximize safety, the feature bridges the gap between discovery and action. With a single interaction, drivers can transition from a Recommendation to navigation via the vehicle’s native system, truly connecting the driver with the surrounding ecosystem.

Reflecting on the collaboration, both companies highlight the importance of thoughtful integration and driver-centric design within the vehicle:

“This partnership with 4screen supports our goal of making the in-car environment more helpful and intuitive for our drivers,” said Ross Garvie, Manager of Connected Car Services Business Development at Nissan. “By integrating contextual information directly into the vehicle, we are enabling drivers to access relevant services and destinations in a way that fits naturally into their journey.”

“Our goal at 4screen is to make in-car interactions more useful and relevant for drivers,” said Fabian Beste, CEO and Co-founder of 4screen. “We’re excited to work with Nissan and to bring our Platform into their vehicles, collaborating closely on shaping the future of meaningful driver interaction.”

The partnership reflects a shared focus on evolving the in-car environment through thoughtful design and functionality that fits naturally into everyday driving.
