4screen 2024 in Review: A Year of Growth, Partnerships, and Innovation

As 2024 comes to a close, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the milestones that shaped another successful year at 4screen. From expanding our partnerships with world-class OEMs and top brands to hosting key in-car demonstrations around the globe, this year has been one of innovation, growth, and collaboration. 

Here’s a look at the highlights from the past 12 months, demonstrating how 4screen continues to pioneer the future of connected mobility and in-car marketing.

4screen People & Culture 2024 

At 4screen, we’re proud to be a global team of diverse innovators united by a shared vision. In 2024, we grew our team to include over 34 nationalities, with women making up more than 40% of our workforce. This diversity not only strengthens our creativity but also enhances our ability to approach challenges from fresh, varied perspectives. 

To further foster our team spirit, we organized a series of memorable events that brought us closer together.

From a skiing trip in the Austrian Alps in March to a summer hike at Tegernsee and enjoying festive celebrations at Oktoberfest, these gatherings highlighted our commitment to collaboration, camaraderie, and fun as we work toward our shared goals.

Our growth this year was significant, both in terms of geographical expansion and technological advancements. Since March 2023, 4screen has launched in 10 new countries (six this year alone).

On the data side, we now collect 15 billion vehicle datasets per month, which helps us deliver hyper-targeted, real-time services and recommendations to drivers.

And end-user satisfaction is at an all-time high, as a 2024 survey showcased that more than 90% of drivers found 4screen highly valuable and beneficial - a testament to the seamless experience 4screen brings through the car screen. 

4screen OEM Partnerships 2024

2024 marked a significant leap forward for 4screen’s partnerships, particularly in the automotive sector. We welcomed nine new OEM partners this year, including Kia and Zeekr, solidifying our position as the pioneer in driver interaction.

Kia, in particular, expanded their use of 4screen across multiple European markets, offering drivers personalized in-car offers and real-time convenience options, bridging the gap between drivers and service providers. Read more.

Meanwhile, our collaboration with Zeekr marked a major step forward in enhancing the EV driver experience. Through the innovative Zeekr Places App, drivers can now enjoy dynamic, location-based content in real-time. Learn more.

In 2024, 4screen partnered with industry-leading brands across all touchpoints of the driver’s journey, enabling businesses to connect with drivers directly through the car screen.

Waitrose x 4screen

Waitrose saw a 41% increase in Branded Pin impressions, significantly expanding their digital presence and customer reach. In addition, the campaign resulted in a 30% rise in navigation, which led to more foot traffic at targeted Waitrose branches. Read their story.

San Marco Petroli achieved a 4.17% CTR and a 10.61% navigation rate using 4screen's Recommendation ad format, surpassing industry benchmarks. Moreover, navigations increased by 54%, showcasing sustained driver engagement and brand visibility. Learn how

Interparking x 4screen

Interparking saw its navigation rates triple within the first three months of the campaign, driving more traffic to their facilities across the Netherlands. The ongoing campaign has delivered a remarkable 97% search navigation rate, showcasing the strength of 4screen’s In-Car Sponsored Search ad format in creating consistent results. Discover more. 

We also announced new French partnerships with Optical Center and TotalEnergies, further expanding our reach across Europe and driving innovation in in-car marketing.

This year, 4screen was showcased at major events across the globe, underscoring our leadership in the connected mobility space.

In January, we kicked off the year at CES in Las Vegas with live in-car demos, followed by a keynote at the Uniti Mobility Payment Forum in Hamburg.

We were also proud to present at START Summit in Switzerland and pitch at the Autonomy Mobility World Expo in Paris. 

 By October, we were showcasing our platform in an exclusive Bits & Pretzels In-Car Demo RoadShow in Munich.

And in November, we took the stage at the automotiveIT car.summit 2024 with Kia Europe to showcase how our partnership is bringing unique benefits to all stakeholders in the automotive ecosystem.

4screen Awards 2024 

In February, we were thrilled to announce our nomination as finalists for the Autonomy Mobility Innovation Awards 2024 in the Mobility Data & AI category. 

In May, we were honored to receive the 2024 MarTech Award for "Most Pioneering In-Car Marketing Agency" from Innovation In Business. 

 In June, we gained significant recognition at AutoTech Detroit, where we were shortlisted for Automotive Tech Company of the Year and Automotive Product of the Year awards.

In August,  4screen placed second in WirtschaftsWoche's Best of Technology award in the category Marketing & Sales! 

And in October, we were nominated for the IT Team Awards by automotiveIT in the category “software defined vehicle” for our successful integration with Hyundai Motor Europe and Kia Europe.  

Innovative Campaign Highlights

UEFA campaign 4screen

One of the standout campaigns this year was our world's first UEFA EURO 2024 campaign  

Over the course of the celebrated tournament, we launched 51 dynamic campaigns across the ten host cities, showcasing the flags of competing teams on the car screens. This allowed drivers to stay connected to the event in real-time while setting a new standard for in-car engagement during major events. 

 And finally, we wrap up the year with a one-of-a-kind Christmas & Winter Market In-Car Marketing campaign. For the whole month of December, 4screen is partnering with a selection of our OEMs to display the locations of key Holiday Markets in 15 cities across 8 European countries.

From Germany to France, Belgium to Sweden, each local Christmas Market will be presented on driver’s car screens with a unique Christmas tree Branded Pin. And when clicked, the Detail Screen will appear to showcase more information about that Market – It’s a wonderful way to bring the spirit of the holiday season on-the-road, while also celebrating local festivities and businesses.
